Don't use any additional powers. And if you do, be careful to put them away when you're done. Many of the powers will come eventually - the fire frog will appear at a certain level and precision. When you do try them out, remember to use them - they often will not occur without your action. Just remember, the powers you choose are defaulted until you pot them away. Remember this trick, when you see a gap shot, set up the colors and fire quickly in a row to avoid your second ball sticking to the first line. Multipliers are also quite valuable (and will remain for a second after they disappear) , as are the extra time hourglass balls. However don't waste your time on the fruits and wagons. They are difficult shots for little reward.

Speed is critical. good things happen the speedier you are (fast shots and eventually the fire frog) but accuracy and precision are just as important. In order to get the fire frog you need to also show successive scores. So relax, focus, pay attention, and fire correctly. That split second it takes to line up a shot won't penalize you in terms of speed, but could mean the difference in accuracy and the next step to quicker shots.

The life cycle for Zuma Blitz is a blessing and a curse. I prefer to play for free, though I understand developers and producers for good gaming companies need to get paid for such an excellent product. However Zuma Blitz quite creatively only offers a set number of lives at a time. If you are disciplined, you can walk away and re-visit the game an hour later when your lives are rejuvenated. Every 24 hours you will also be given the option to flip a coin for more lives (wins are certainly not guaranteed here).
