Robotic systems place demanding requirements on electric motors because movement often needs to be accurate, repeatable, and responsive. Physical configuration is just as important as electrical performance. Engineers should check shaft dimensions, mounting arrangements, motor diameter, overall length, and available space before selecting a model. For standardized equipment, NEMA frame sizes can simplify mechanical integration, while customized shaft or winding options may be useful when the motor has to fit a specialized mechanism.
